The Akira Paradox
The Akira Paradox is a term we use to describe the difficulty people have in watching titles such as Akira and Ghost in the Shell. Akira was originally released as a manga, a lot of them. Several thousand pages and countless amounts of information, collected over a long period of time, were crammed into a two-hour movie. This idea is present in a lot of films, but in Akira it is writ large.
